Privacy Policy
At Luminara, we build with a simple premise: your health data belongs to you. Here is how we ensure that is the case:
1. On-Device Storage & Encryption
All personal data you log—including menstrual cycles, biomarkers, medication history, and mood logs—is stored directly on your physical device. We encrypt sensitive health entries using AES-256 encryption. The decryption key resides exclusively in your device's secure enclave (iOS Keychain or Android Keystore). We do not have access to this key, nor do we store it on any external servers.
2. Zero Cloud Backups
Because we do not sync your health data to a cloud database, there is nothing for third parties or government agencies to subpoena from us. Your data is as safe as your physical phone.
3. Anonymized & Opt-In Research
We believe in advancing women's health research. If you choose to opt-in, any contributed data is completely stripped of identifying details. Specific dates are converted to anonymous offset numbers, and all free-text notes or names are permanently deleted before sharing.
4. No Advertising or Tracking
Luminara does not host ads, trackers, or behavioral analytics SDKs. Your health logs are never sold to advertisers, insurance companies, or data brokers.

1. Not a Medical Device
Luminara provides informational wellness features and is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any clinical condition. Wellness scores, lab flags, and phase predictions are informational suggestions and not clinical assessments.
2. Professional Advice Disclaimer
The app is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult with a qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions. Never disregard professional medical advice because of something you read in Luminara.
3. Data Ownership and Your Responsibility
You retain full ownership of all data you input into the app. Because your data lives only on your device, you are responsible for maintaining backups or exporting your logs if you transition to a new device.
